My paper is going to be about the affects alcohol has on college students and why college students drink. These are the two interviews I conducted..
Interview 1
Q. How do you balance social life and academics?
A. School work always comes first for me and social life comes second. You just have to manage your time wisely.
Q. Do you eat breakfast?
A. No
Q. Why don't you eat breakfast?
A. I don't like getting up that early and I have classes early in the morning.
Q. Do you keep a daily planner?
A. Yes, I do.
Q.Have you consumed alcohol while you have been in college?
A. Yes!
Q. Do you drink to make new friends?
A. Yeah, I have made some good friends at parties.
Q. Why else do you drink?
A. For the college experience and to have fun.
Q. Has drinking affected you negatively afterwords?
A. I had a headache and was tired all day. That's it.
Interview 2
Q. How do you balance social life and academics?
A. During the week my main focus is on school and during the weekends I try to be more social and hang with friends.
Q.Do you eat breakfast?
A. Never
Q.Do you think not eating breakfast affects your school work?
A. No because I sleep in late and don't have class until one so I would eat lunch before class.
Q.Do you keep a daily planner?
A. Of course! I would not be able to survive without it.
Q.Have you consumed alcohol since you have been in college?
A. Yeahh
Q. Do you drink to make new friends?
A. Yeah I like meeting new people and at parties there are tons of people.
Q. Why else do you drink?
A. I don't know. It's fun and gives me something to do.
Q.Has drinking affected you negatively afterwords?
A. Yeah that's why I only drink on the weekends now.
Based on these two interviews we can tell that a lot of college students do drink. They seem to drink to meet new people, have fun, and to just have something to do. It appears drinking has somewhat of a negative effect on most college students. Drinking can cause one to be tired all day or feel sick which can effect the student's school work for the next day. If drinking is causes students to do poorly in school why do some many risk their education for it? It seems that friendships are so important to have in college that that may be the reason. Or maybe people feel the need to have the "college experience" because of TV shows and movies they watched. If students didn't have TV it wouldn't make them want to drink as much because the TV or internet makes drinking appear to be fun.
